Christina Chelf
GIS Supervisor, City of Tacoma & GIS Consultant, Mycelia Consulting
Christina Chelf is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) professional with over a decade of GIS experience with specialties in equity mapping and environmental mapping. Chelf currently works as a GIS supervisor for the City of Tacoma, where she leads a team of eight GIS professionals responsible for meeting a diverse set of department mapping needs.
Chelf has worked in GIS at every level of government and in the private sector. She also co-owns Mycelia Consulting, a business focusing on data analysis and visual storytelling. She is an experienced and thoughtful presenter of information with an eye for creative and effective maps. Chelf is the current vice president of the Washington GIS Association (WAGISA) and chair of the Washington GIS Government Leaders special interest group. Chelf earned her Master of Science in Geospatial Technologies from the University of Washington Tacoma in 2017. An instructor for the UW Certificate in Geographic Information Systems, she was honored with a Teaching Excellence Award in 2023.
