So you want to be a screenwriter? In this course, we’ll start at the beginning, diving into the fundamentals of story structure and screenwriting techniques. You’ll learn how to organize and expand your original movie idea to kick off the writing process. You’ll develop and workshop your story in a collaborative and supportive environment. We’ll also discuss a variety of screenplays, films and other material. Throughout the course, you’ll work on a step outline (a scene-by-scene account of what happens in the story) and a draft of your original screenplay.
